Rebecca Dawes is an all-round communications specialist with strong technical and industry content delivery skills. A Chartered Marketer, she was awarded PR Writer of the Year by the British Guild of Agricultural Journalists in 2023.
She has a First-Class Honours degree in Events Management and is a graduate of the Scottish Enterprise Rural Leadership Programme. In 2025 she completed her term as Head Judge for the Lantra Scotland ALBAS (Awards for Land-based and Aquaculture Skills) and, after a decade of supporting Linking Environment and Farming (LEAF), finished her role as the Scottish Ambassador for Open Farm Sunday – something she is proud to have, and continues to participate in through her own family farm, since its launch.
A farmer’s daughter from a mixed livestock farm and married to a dairy farmer in Dumfries and Galloway, her feet can often be found in a pair of wellington boots… surrounded by her naughty but adorable herd of pygmy goats!
